We are pleased to announce the appointment of Margaret Farragher as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Margaret joins JCQ having gained extensive senior leadership experience across the education sector. Margaret’s most recent role was Executive Director at SQA, and prior to this she was the interim CEO at CCEA.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Ian Morgan, Chair, JCQ, said:

Biography

Margaret Farragher many years’ experience working in senior roles across the education sector, including; serving as Executive Director – Policy, Analysis and Standards at Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), Interim CEO at Council for Curriculum Exams and Assessment (CCEA), Director of Education at CCEA, Head of Policy and Qualifications at UCAS, and is currently a Board Member at London Metropolitan University. She was also Chair of the charity Futureversity, and has held several school governor roles.
