Guidance for schools and colleges with entries split across awarding
bodies for the same subject – summer 2020

26th May 2020

Where schools and colleges have entered candidates with more than one awarding body in a GCE A level or GCSE subject, the awarding body with the largest number of entries will contact the school or college. This awarding body will act as the ‘lead’ awarding body and will coordinate the Centre
Assessment Grade process.

Schools and colleges will be asked for a single set of Centre Assessment Grades and rank order.  This process will ensure fair and accurate results for candidates.

Please do not submit split entry Centre Assessment Grades or rank orders for these subjects via awarding bodies’ portals.

The lead awarding body will confirm with the school or college their split entry subject(s) during the first week of June. A pre-populated spreadsheet and instructions for the submission of Centre Assessment Grades and rank orders will be provided. The deadline for submitting grades and rank orders for split entries only has been extended to 19th June.

Please share this information with any colleagues submitting Centre Assessment Grades and rank orders.
