October is cyber security awareness month.  The National Cyber Security Centre has published tailored advice and resources for schools and colleges on cyber security, which can be found here: Cyber Security for Schools – NCSC.GOV.UK

JCQ has also published guidelines and resources for centres which are here:  Guidance-for-centres-on-cyber-security_23_FINAL.pdf (jcq.org.uk)

Implement strong password policies and ensure all devices are encrypted and regularly updated.

4. Data Protection

Regularly back up data and ensure it is stored securely.

5. Incident Response Plan

Develop and regularly update an incident response plan to quickly address any security breaches.

6. Access Controls

Limit access to sensitive information to only those who need it for their role.
