The A2C Spec has been updated and published as version 2020A.
The A2C Spec is normally updated annually. We have decided to publish a revision mid-year as there is a change that will make implementation significantly easier for MIS suppliers. This is to allow the Named Order transaction to be used for Test Resource Bookings and Late Award Cash-ins (which previously had separate transactions), as well as Registrations and Entries.
We have also implemented a previously postponed data model change that simplifies subject classification and allows Welsh and Northern Ireland discount codes to be included in product catalogues, as well as the English KS4 and post-16 codes. This change does affect the schema, but we have made it backwards compatible.
This version also rolls up some minor changes that have been identified during integration testing, such as improvements to feedback messages.
